BerlinWhen asked about Berlin the first thing that comes to mind is a city known for the wall that divided a nation. With the wall behind them, Berlin has really become a modern city with some impressive architecture and very a important story to tell.

tkdSo, just another update on the daily happenings around our neck of the woods. We’ve been here for just over 8 months now and we’re well and truly into the swing of ‘English’ life. Most people would say that the cultures are similar, but as someone said to me the other day, it’s quite odd how they’re not. Sure, you don’t have a language barrier (well, that’s debatable), but there are quite a few differences in lifestyle. For example, it’s (almost) unheard of to play sport after work. Gym - yes. Sport? Isn’t that what Aussies and Saffa’s do?

Josh and NanaJosh’s album has been updated with Chrissy and his 2nd birthday for anyone who hasn’t had enough of him. Is that even possible?!

london melbourneA post for a general update really, for the few people that actually do check up on this site to see where we’re at. This was a big week, so thought I might write down what’s going on in this part of the Northern hemisphere!

Sommer's WeddingAs most of you probably know, I was never a big person for weddings. That was, of course, until I got married myself! Cleaning bottleSince moving to London it seems nearly impossible to escape the constant scrubbing of lime scale. The hard water here makes cleaning a real B****. With new chrome fittings in the bathroom it has turned out to be a real nightmare/obsession of a job. After trying 4 different lime scale destroying products but after 30 minutes with each and very little results I was about to give up.

Being male, classically known as being lazy, I am proud to say that my laziness and ability to search Google efficiently has proven to be very successful in not only saving a lot of sore arms, but my new lime scale “destroyer” is much much cheaper than any cleaning product. So Google here I come - no more elbow grease. Read the rest of this entry »

frankfurtWe had a great time in the gorgeous city of Frankfurt with our bestest buddy Guy to celebrate Australia Day! My favourite place in Europe (thus far) and not for any specific reason, but maybe because it felt so much like Melbourne… or just the great company :)

BoostWe went away this weekend to Oxford. Although we’re sure there is plenty to do there other than check out the many many colleges and uni’s, the highlight for us was the Boost Juice Bar we found in a shopping mall - all the way from Australia! Needless to say, we had a few during our stay :) It felt like we were at home! *sigh* the things you miss while away from home…
