It’s almost over! The renovation is almost at the finish line! Many thanks to Hamish (who spent half a week at our house) and Chris who helped Kim re-lay the whole backyard. All weekend and every night this week has been spent on the project to get the backyard looking spick and span with the cobble stones. It’s the last “big” task to be done to the house. Now we can hand it over to renters to destroy… Anyone need to rent a 2 bedroom unit?!

Today I received an email from STA travel about “Carbon Offsets” where for just $8 (domestic) or $20 (international), you can “offset” your flight’s carbon emissions. What a fantastic idea! There are so many people who are cautious about carbon emissions, yet still want to travel the globe. Then we feel guilty about wanting to do both.

Yep, scarily it has taken that long to sink in that I’m actually getting hitched! After freaking out for a good few hours (and severely needing an alcholic drink), I finally sat down and confided in a good friend.
Strangely enough, he could compare my pre-wedding nerves with an experience of his own – sky diving. Yep, you read right. Perhaps the two scariest events in one’s lifetime (add a third for any guy who has to pop the question).

Ok, so we’re getting organised and finally got around to putting a blog up. We’re busy organising our huge trip, our wedding and we’re still renovating the bathroom! Oh and we’re training for our black belt in taekwondo too (yay)!
We’ve got a whopping 3 and a half months to get all this stuff finished, so it’s gonna be a race to the finish line we think. Nevermind. If anyone has any tips/hints/time (jk) about any of our ventures, let us know!
