A post for a general update really, for the few people that actually do check up on this site to see where we’re at. This was a big week, so thought I might write down what’s going on in this part of the Northern hemisphere!

We went away this weekend to Oxford. Although we’re sure there is plenty to do there other than check out the many many colleges and uni’s, the highlight for us was the Boost Juice Bar we found in a shopping mall - all the way from Australia! Needless to say, we had a few during our stay
It felt like we were at home! *sigh* the things you miss while away from home…
A huge congratulations to THE brainiac… Vi Anh earned herself a WHOPPING 98.2 ENTER score! Well done kiddo, you might be crazy, but you’re still intelligent
Enjoy the celebrations and the benefits that your endless hardwork will deliver. If anyone deserves it, you do! Now you can get your head out of your books and party!! Congratulations!!!
Well after a lot of research, paper work, stress and waiting, we finally have our passports back and Kim is now a resident! Glad that I put in the many hours of research, we now have the ability to travel Europe which is, of course, one of the reasons we are over here. It was so hard to hear all our friends off and travelling every other weekend or planning a trip at the last minute. Now we can finally join in! (more…)
Since living here in London I have noticed that somethings that used to be weird about this place is starting to become “normal”. It is related to the fine black dust that you see on everything on the underground. It changes you… (more…)

How many times have you sat on public transport after a long day at work and heard a whole life story of someone on their mobile phone? Are you sick to death of people talking SO loud on their mobile phones on the train? Yes? Then move to London. Because the most of their train system is underground, there is no mobile phone range… for the moment. It’s great!
Very cool. And I have grown quite an obsession with the furry fuzzy little things. The are just so cute that you wish they’d grow a little more (like they’re not big enough already) just so you can cuddle them and pat them
What an amazing carnival! More like a festival really - because it doesn’t really compare with Warrnambool Carnie (that’s the biggest understatement of the century).
Think louder than loud music, awesome costumes and amazing dancers. Then imagine multiple huge speakers on semi-trailer trucks as the floats followed closely by the bright sea of people following behind dancing to the pumping music. Then you have all the people watching on the side of the street (and I mean ALL the people, they say 3 million people attend this carnival) who are all bopping away to the beat and taking photos.
