By man, I mean my dad. By best friend, I mean our family’s best friend, Elmo. By tribute, I mean goodbye.

Off home (again for some of us) for a longer stay and another great wedding! Hamish and Vio scrubbed up great!

A quick trip home - alone
- for Beck and Andrew’s wedding and it proved far too short! Cramming in some much craved family time and of course, a beautiful wedding, my 5 whole days were well spent. (more…)
Everyone who knows me understands that I have a fear of heights. The first time I that needed 3 pairs of jocks was on my 20th birthday, when my “friends” thought it would be a great present to get me a sky diving jump. Again, the ones close to me always know how to make me smile. ‘Go Ape’ is an adventure that is supposed to be fun and different. A HUGE WEDGIE later, I am still deciding if jumping off a tree top and checking if I damaged my crown jewels was fun.
Typical isn’t it? It snows in London twice - and we’re away when it happens both times! This last time (weekend just passed), a friend emailed us with a photo - so at least we could see what it looked like! We were also lucky enough to be on the Eurostar train, coming back to London through Northern France and West England. We saw the most spectacular sight - snow covered countryside! It was gorgeous and we are spewing we didn’t get the camera out to take some shots. Though, we’re not sure how much you would see in the photo from a fast moving train through a window!
So, just another update on the daily happenings around our neck of the woods. We’ve been here for just over 8 months now and we’re well and truly into the swing of ‘English’ life. Most people would say that the cultures are similar, but as someone said to me the other day, it’s quite odd how they’re not. Sure, you don’t have a language barrier (well, that’s debatable), but there are quite a few differences in lifestyle. For example, it’s (almost) unheard of to play sport after work. Gym - yes. Sport? Isn’t that what Aussies and Saffa’s do?
Josh’s album has been updated with Chrissy and his 2nd birthday for anyone who hasn’t had enough of him. Is that even possible?!
We’ve also updated with all our latest travels, Chinese New Year and Regina’s going away party
A post for a general update really, for the few people that actually do check up on this site to see where we’re at. This was a big week, so thought I might write down what’s going on in this part of the Northern hemisphere!
Hey to everyone who has been reading this and waiting for the next installment. We wish you all a Happy New Year and hope 2008 brings everything you dream and wish for. Click on to read what’s been happening in our neck of the woods over the past month…
We went away this weekend to Oxford. Although we’re sure there is plenty to do there other than check out the many many colleges and uni’s, the highlight for us was the Boost Juice Bar we found in a shopping mall - all the way from Australia! Needless to say, we had a few during our stay
It felt like we were at home! *sigh* the things you miss while away from home…
