london melbourneA post for a general update really, for the few people that actually do check up on this site to see where we’re at. This was a big week, so thought I might write down what’s going on in this part of the Northern hemisphere!

The week started - or rather, last week ended with Kim doing another one of his mega work shifts. A startling 22 hours meant our sleeping habits were a little messed up to say the least!

But we ended up attending a pretty awesome party - Regina’s farewell :) Her housemates threw a ‘Brits and Aussies’ party and did the whole house up, which was very cool! Complete with Summer Bay in Regina’s room to huge Vegemite and Marmite jars on the walls in the dining room, the lounge room was a nightclub! I attempted to dress as a bogan while Kim successfully passed for Lleyton Hewitt.

Tuesday we met up with good friends of ours and went on a Jack the Ripper - ‘From Hell’ tour. Though not scary, it was quite informative and frankly a little baffling why there was so much hype over the tale. I guess the media has never really changed.

Wednesday we played our first game of netball! Our new team, ‘Balls of Destiny’ made our debut with a few injuries and sore muscles, but I’m sure they’ll be spick and span for next week’s challenge. Oh, and we lost by the way, but watch out next week (or maybe the week after…).

Thursday morning, Regina flew to New York and is on her way back home to Australia. A sad, sad day :( But on the bright side, Rachael and Steph stayed with us for 2 days! And then another sad day, today, because they have also just left to go back home to Australia :( We’re going to miss them heaps!

I also booked a trip to Austria to see Dad’s family, right after Easter. Looking forward to that! I only realised at work today that it’s right in the middle of a go-live. Oops. But my cousin might be meeting us over there, so that would be awesome!

So a big week for us! Looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend… well, I can dream :)
